How to play Untangle

Tap any rope end, then an empty hole.
Or drag the end there.
Cotton ropes lie on a wooden ring, crossed over and wound round each other.
Tap any rope end (or drag it), then an empty hole: the end lifts over everything and is laid in that hole, while the rest of the rope drags along under whatever lies on it.
A rope with nothing on top of it lifts away.
Ropes wound round each other hold each other down, and later levels wind the same ropes round each other several times; unhook them by carrying an end back over.
Free every rope to go straight on to the next level.
Moves are unlimited and Undo takes any of them back.
Two hints per level; off the solution's path, a hint rewinds to the last good position.
Score 100 per level cleared.
60 levels, each with a verified solution, then harder boards repeat turned and recoloured.

Yes. Untangle is free to play on Swip, with no download and no account needed.

Does Untangle have ads?

No forced ads. Lots of free games play an ad after every round. Swip never does: when a round ends you play again or swipe to the next game straight away. An ad is only ever one you choose, like an extra revive to push your score, and some hints are free.
